Episode 97 – Anthropophagus (1980)

Listeners are HUNGRY for fresh content, and it appears as though some of them (or at least one of them) possess an insatiable appetite for the 1980 Italian horror classic (?) Antropophagus aka The Grim Reaper AKA Savage Island. Ooph, that title is a mouthful! But Troy and Roger are here to satisfy your cravings, and thus they’ve decided to take a huge chomp out of the poorly dubbed cannibal flick . And boy oh BOY do they have some serious thoughts on the matter! So sit on down and prepare yourselves for a literal FEAST as they serve you up a hearty helping of meaty topics and delectable conversation! Talking points include the undeniable allure of quaint Mediterranean island towns, extreme closeups on highly ineffective paper mache corpses, the inability to root for a character who is clearly a sexual predator and will not accept “not interested” as an answer to their advances, and an extensive list of all of the reasons as to why a pregnant woman should not be allowed to travel abroad, PERIOD. So hop on a gondola and take flight as the boys prepare to glide ever so gracefully into a brand new episode!
